I was just remembering when I was a young boy and then a teenager you couldn't root for two sports teams you had to be either or. An example of what I'm talking about is if you were a NY Mets fan you couldn't like the Yankees. If you were a NY Giants fan you couldn't like the Jets. Even with music to a degree was like that. Back before my time you had to either like Rock music or Disco, you couldn't like both. Even with Sci_fi, if you were a Star Trek Fan you couldn't like Star Wars. It's funny now but it was serious stuff when I was younger, you would get into an argument at the drop of a hat about what team you liked or didn't like.....LOL
I like sitting outside right before the sun rises and drink my coffee. I do this in the summer months I go through this daily ritual every morning....I make a fresh pot of coffee, I prefer Folgers Country Roast. I usually like a piece of apple pie or a piece of Junior's cheesecake with it. So I bring all this outside in my yard and prepare for the sun to rise....not like I see it though...LOL. If a house isn't in the way, a tree will sure to be. Oh well, my yard is situated in a bad spot.....LOL I still enjoy the coffee and cheesecake though.
I think that every person enjoys that. I know I do. Seeing the sun come up over the mountains as it paints the sky amazing colors, is one of my favorite things. Sitting there on my porch sipping my coffee as that first ray of sunshine glides across my porch, is such an amazing feeling, almost magical.
I'm hitting that big four oh in like a week and a half and I feel like crying....I need a hug...LOL. I have to wear glasses now, sure they are only when I read and on the computer but it has me feeling so old. I was also shaving the other day and I could not believe all the gray that was in my beard. all those underneath hairs are gray and it will only be a matter of time before they start showing. Good thing I really don't keep a beard otherwise I would be crying. This getting old business isn't all that it's cracked up to be. I don't like it and my new search is for that fabled fountain of youth....well thanks for listening to me cry....LOL
::shakes head: This is the second week in a row my friends bailed out on me. If I didn't know better I would think they were trying to avoid me. So we all had plans to hit the club tonight and guess what? All three called and said they couldn't make it....here I sit writing in my journal all dressed and ready to go out but have no one to go out with. This just doesn't seem right. In the name of all that is good and holy I must take action.......and I choose to make a pot of coffee and spend some tome on the Rave. Thanks folks for reading.
Do they have legot reasons? May be time to look at your relationships and decide if they’re really worth it. My birthday last year was awful. I turned 30 and the girls swore they were planning a surprise for me for 3 months. Birthday night I’m all doll’d up. No one ever showed up. They posted on fb taking out another girl for her birthday that wasn’t until 2 weeks later. I was crushed. And when I asked them why they didn’t show they claimed they forgot. It may seem petty but I dumped a few “friends” that day. It wasn’t the first time they’d done something like that.
OMG, I'm so sorry to hear that. See like you this isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened to me either. I been through a few set of friends. I know life gets rough and you can't always stick to a set of plans but still I would have expected a call a few days ago not right before we were all due to go out. I will probably find out they ditched me or something.,...LOL. Oh well....I guess it's one of life's hard lessons.
Yeah. It's tough. I think sometimes we end up choosing friends based on how lonely we are at the time because they seem so nice and then everything ends up falling apart. It happens.
